Visit a museum
At Borås Art Museum, you can experience exhibitions featuring national and international contemporary art. The museum is located in the Culture House in central Borås and always offers free entry.
The Textile Museum is one of the leading museums in the Nordic region for textiles and fashion, with collections of clothing, fabrics, textile machines, and more. Students always enjoy free entry with a valid student ID, and on Thursday evenings from 5–7 PM, entry is free for everyone. The museum is located in central Borås at the Textile Fashion Center.
Borås Museum is located in Ramnaparken and is an open-air museum with free entry. The museum mainly tells the story of rural life in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is open during the summer, from June to August.

Hang Out in Parks
Stadsparken is located right by the Viskan River in the city center. Here you can relax on the grass, enjoy a lunch in the sun, or admire public art. The park also hosts a variety of activities, from guided walks to sports events, music, and dance evenings.
Annelundsparken is just a stone’s throw from the city center. You’ll find leafy paths, large lawns, and beautiful flowers. The park is perfect for a run, a walk with a podcast, or a peaceful moment in nature.

Borås is home to a total of 16 nature reserves, with Rya Åsar being one of Sweden’s most urban-accessible reserves.
