ONE OF SWEDEN’S FIRST LARGE-SCALE STREET ART FESTIVALS
The story of No Limit®
In September 2014, No Limit® debuted in Borås as one of Sweden’s first large-scale street art festivals. It started with American street artist Shai Dahan, who had found love and moved to Borås. No Limit® was held in Borås on four occasions and the legacy of the festivals can be experienced year-round, from small installations to large-scale murals.
Artist Isaac Cordal creates miniature sculptures, placing his figures in carefully thought-out locations with a master director’s touch.
Simple
The street artist and illustrator Simple blends distinct lines, surrealism, and geometric figures, often painted on leftover building materials, but also on large-scale façades.
Fredrik Wretman "Bodhi"
Fredrik Wretman’s meditative water installations create illusions – surface reflections that seduce people and make them light-headed.
Jaume Plensa "House of knowledge"
Jaume Plensa is one of the most prominent sculptors in the world. House of knowledge is part of a series of works depicting sitting figures constructed out of letters.
Bordalo II "Half snow wolf"
Big Trash Animals is a series of artworks that aims to draw attention to a current problem. The problem involves waste production, pollution and its effect on the planet.
Mona Caron
Caron combines two entirely disparate genres: street art and botanical illustration. The plants featured are of the most unassuming kind, some are regarded as weeds, but all have the potential to spread globally.
Marianne Lindberg De Geer "Mate Hunting"
Lindberg De Geer has taken her inspiration for Mate Hunting from the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, symbolising an aperture into another reality – the magical world of the story.
